Mordechai Kubany

Mordechai (Mordy) Kubany is an entrepreneur, business leader, and trusted advisor with more than 25 years of experience working with family offices, family enterprises, private businesses, and investors across strategic management, operations, business development, finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.

As Founder and CEO of Double Kappa, Mordy provides family office leadership and operational and financial advisory services to U.S. and international family offices and family enterprises. Working alongside principals, family members, executives, and their professional advisors, he serves as an embedded senior leadership presence—helping families manage complexity, establish priorities, strengthen operations, and bring structure, coordination, and accountability to organizations whose complexity has outpaced their internal infrastructure.

Mordy has a deep understanding of the challenges families face as their businesses, investments, properties, philanthropic interests, and personal affairs become increasingly interconnected. Through Double Kappa’s Integrated Family Enterprise Model™, he helps families create the operating structure that connects these components, establishes clear ownership and accountability, and builds institutional continuity across the enterprise.

His work encompasses operational and financial management, organizational design, strategic planning, governance, transaction support, and the coordination of internal teams and external advisors. Mordy’s approach combines strategic perspective with active execution: he works with families not only to define objectives and establish priorities, but also to create executable action plans, drive implementation, and ensure those plans translate into measurable results.

Prior to founding Double Kappa, Mordy was CEO of a boutique financial services firm serving high-net-worth families and businesses across financial planning, legacy and estate planning, private financing, capital raising, investments, and insurance.

He previously served as Senior Vice President at Oberon Securities, a New York-based boutique investment bank, where he worked with small and middle-market companies on capital formation and strategic transactions and led capital-raising efforts that generated multiple investment offers from national private equity firms. Earlier, as a Senior Managing Director at a multi-family office and merchant banking firm, he advised high-net-worth families and large multigenerational family-owned businesses on estate and personal planning, operations, and special strategic initiatives.

Mordy earned his degree in engineering, computer science, and business management from Tel Aviv University. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Arabic. When he is not working, Mordy can be found screaming at the television during Manchester United games, cultivating his beloved garden, or driving his Defender or his Triumph motorcycle around town.
